Filming Blog

We finally started filming after days of rescheduling. We started filming around four pm so we'd have enough time to film everything needed. I had my doubts but we actually started and completed the entire film. The entire time we were focused on getting it done and it happened. The actual filming process was quite fun. We finally got to see how the film would come together following the storyboard. One aspect we had to make sure the film had was the "purgatory" effect. Meaning only the characters in the film would be shown. So we'd have to make sure there were no moving cars or people in the background. So if we messed up we'd have to reshoot that film.

We realized that we'd have to reshoot them after recording the second scene then we remembered. Filming took the effort of all three of us to get the best visual for each scene. We also had to remember a couple lines each but nothing too intense. While recording the sun was going down but we needed dark scenes in our film. There was one scene where I had to slap Quincy but I didn't want to actually slap him so Aridsondez edited my hand hitting his face at a faster speed. It's noticeable but we'll be able to fix it in the reshoot. The filming went so well we probably won't need to do much reshooting anyways. Maybe a little re-editing as well but that's it. For recording our entire film in one session, it came out a lot better than expected. Although I knew we'd be able to do it.
